ITT PILATES Comprehensive Training

ITT Pilates Comprehensive Training is a career-oriented program. This in-depth training focuses on teaching you how to apply the ITT Pilates principles of sound body mechanics with insightful cueing and the protocols for working with individual needs. Becoming an ITT Pilates Comprehensive Instructor gives you the confidence to teach a variety of individuals and the ability to help people reach their full movement potential.

The ITT Pilates Comprehensive program includes:

  • Anatomy & Core Dynamics 

  • Essential Exercises

  • Mat Level 1 and 2

  • Reformer Level 1 and 2

  • Cadillac Level 1 and 2

  • Teaching Labs

  • Chair & Barrel 

  • Assessment & Program Design

  • 65 observation hours

  • 80 hours of self practice 

  • 90 hours of practice teaching

  • 10 apprentice hours

  • A written and practical Final exam

The ITT Pilates Comprehensive Instructor Training Program is a total of 456 hours, and PMA approved. This program is ideal for those who want the freedom to teach on or off the equipment, in all types of settings and desire a complete education in Pilates movement. Students begin with the Foundation courses and Mat Instructor Training. Once they successfully pass their Mat Certificate exam, they proceed to the equipment training to complete their Comprehensive Instructor Training. Learn more

Course Objectives

​Upon completion of the program, you will be able to:

  • Have a comprehensive understanding of the Pilates exercises and movement principles

  • Recognize the difference between efficient movement patterns and dysfunctional ones

  • Perform a complete assessment on your individual clients

  • Design Pilates exercises programs tailored to your individual client’s needs and goals

  • Utilize all Pilates equipment to create full body, functional movement training

​Once all course work and student practice hours are completed,  students may arrange with an ITT Educator to take the final written and practical exam.
