ITT PILATES Reformer Training

 Some students already have their Mat Training from another institution and/or want to go directly to Reformer Training after completing the prerequisite Foundation Courses.

The ITT Pilates Reformer program includes:

  • Anatomy & Core Dynamics 

  • Essential Exercises 

  • Reformer Level 1 

  • Reformer Level 2

  • Teaching Labs 

  • 30 hours of self practice 

  • 30 hours of practice teaching

  • 20 hours of observation

  • 3 Apprentice Teaching hours

  • A written and practical Final exam

The Reformer is the centerpiece of any Pilates studio and an essential tool for strength and flexibility training. Learn how to teach Reformer exercises appropriate for all levels of movers, from beginner to intermediate/advanced, from injury prevention and to post-rehabilitation.  The ITT Pilates method always includes dynamic assessments, verbal and tactile cueing, and program design to correct impaired movement patterns. The goal is to provide you with a program that develops excellent teaching skills and the confidence to become employed as a Pilates Reformer instructor. Course Objectives

​Upon completion of the program, you will be able to:

  • Teach safe and progressive Reformer workouts to a wide range of individuals

  • Be able to see muscle imbalances and dysfunctional movement patterns 

  • Address imbalances with intelligent exercises choices and the ITT Pilates program design

  • Design full body workouts for strength and flexibility, with optimal alignment and dynamic core stabilization

Once all course work and student practice hours are completed,  students may arrange with an ITT Educator to take the final written and practical exam.
